  • Added a link to a website containing instructions for using a TI graphing calculator for linear regression calculations.

Sunday, February 14:

  • Changed the due dates of the collected end-of-chapter problems and Problem Sets 2 and 3.
    • Problem Set 2 and the End of Chapter problems for CF Chapters 4 and 6 will be due on February 23 (The same day as the second scheduled quiz)
  • Added a couple of REALLY GOOD links for enzyme kinetics to the Useful Links Page. Check them out as soon as you can.

Friday, February 12:

  • Modified the Weekly Bonus page to add a couple of points (Total is now 7 points) and give documented instructions / goals for the problem.

Wednesday, February 10:

  • Added a link to the movies showing placement of hydrophobic and polar residues in myoglobin from Thursday's lecture.

  • Added the link to Problem Set #2 on the main page (see Schedule) and the Supplemental Materials page.
  • Added a link to a Reaction Rate review page from Dr. Brucat's CHEM4411 course at the University of Florida.

Monday, February 8:

  • Added a link to some Supplemental Reading on Protein Structure from the Richardson website at Duke.

Sunday, February 7:

  • Updated the Weekly Bonus page with a doozy of a project. Success will give you a letter grade and a half boost on a test. Seriously! What is wrong with me? I must be crazy because I'm just giving points away! Act now because the offer ends on Thursday.
  • Added a link to a tutorial on VMD on the Useful Programs page.

Saturday, February 6:

  • Added Supplemental reading material for the enzyme kinetics lecture.
  • The recommended End of Chapter problems will now be collected on the dates indicated. Several problems chosen at random will be graded from the set.

Monday, February 1:

  • Posted the answer key to Problem Set 1
  • Announced by mass email a Review Session the evening of Tuesday, February 1 from 6:00 - 7:30

Sunday, January 31:

  • Added a document outlining what is on the exam to the Lecture Notes page.
  • Added a link to practice worksheets on just about everything on the first exam to the useful links page.

Wednesday, January 27:

  • Changed the Weekly Bonus. This week's bonus is due on Tuesday, February 2.

Sunday, January 24:

  • Added the Quiz 1 answer key. Based upon the quiz grades, many of you need to download and study this!

Thursday, January 21:

  • I've changed the course syllabus to make it conform to University standards. This includes: Adding a section for Course Attendance Policy, Learning Objectives and Syllabus Modification Notification. We covered all of the material on the first day, so no real changes.

Tuesday, January 19:

  • Uploaded Problem Set 1. Click the link in the course schedule on the Course Home Page.

Friday, January 15:

  • Moved the due date of Problem Set 1 to January 28.
  • Dropped AJ Sections 11.10 - 11.14 form the covered material
  • Changed the Assigned Problems for Chapter 11 to 11.51 and 11.57 ONLY.
